Summit Student Ministries is sponsoring a project with the Society of St. Andrew's 'end hunger' organization on Saturday, January 24th!  We will meet at the F-Building at 7:30 AM & return at 2 PM.  Our project takes place in a beautiful grove near Bay Hill Country Club in Orlando.  We will harvest various fruits, such as - oranges, tangelos, tangerines & grapefruit.

THE ONLY COST IS FOR LUNCH AFTER THE PROJECT IS OVER.  BUT you MUST register so transportation can be adequately arranged.

Join Summit Student Ministries for the 2009 Winter Retreat from Friday evening, February 6th through Sunday, February 8th.  The cost is $65 per person.  Our guest speaker is Dustin Sterret, who will be speaking on the theme of "Guy Talk/Girl Talk".  In addition to awesome worship, small groups and special music (presented by Ben Brown - Nashville), Life for Youth Ranch offers a wide range of fun activities -paddle boats, canoes, waterslides & a climbing wall.

March 30-April 3rd (Spring Break) Summit Student Ministry will be heading to the mountains!!  Our destination will be Eagle Rock Camp, which is located on the Foothills Parkway near Townsend, TN.  As we enjoy God's beautiful creation, we'll also be mountain biking, canoeing, rock climbing and rapelling, hiking, enjoying some AWESOME food and a great camp!!

Cost will be $175 per person, which will cover meals, lodging, activities and transportation!!  Registration will begin on Sunday, February 15th and there is ONLY room for 13 participants on a first come, first served basis--see Kirk for more info!! Summit Student Ministries is ALREADY gearing up for two exciting summer mission trips.     High schoolers will head off to the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina on June 14th and will return home on June 22nd.  The trip for middle school students is set for July 18-26.  Both groups will be working with ReCreation Experiences and will assist low income, fixed income elderly and handicapped area residents.

The cost of the trip for both groups is $400.  To participate, complete the mission trip registration form and submit with a deposit of $50. 

IMPORTANT NEWS:  There are only 6 youth spots available for the high school trip.  There are 8 youth spots remaining for the middle school trip. REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 15TH!

SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION BEGINS ON FEBRUARY 1, 2009!  Spend a week with others from around the state as you laugh, play, and learn just how much God loves you.  FUMC will provide transportation for the camp week of July 6-11.  You MUST register your student by going to www.warrenwilliscamp.org --we are NOT able to register them through our church office!!  Space is limited--so you are encouraged to register early!!  For more information you may contact the camp at 1-866-UMCAMPS.  The church GCFA# is 353067.
